Femtheogenic Consciousness: Oracles, Witches, Shamans - Consciousness Studies Series

This talk explores the intersection of feminine wisdom, entheogenic practices, and altered states of consciousness. Across cultures and history, women have served as oracles, witches, and shamans—keepers of sacred knowledge, healers, and mediators between realms. From the Delphic priestesses to indigenous medicine women, their work with psychoactive plants and visionary states has shaped spiritual traditions and communal healing.

Drawing on Maria Papaspyrou’s concept of femtheogenic consciousness, we will examine how the fusion of the feminine principle with entheogenic experience gives rise to an intuitive, relational, and embodied way of knowing. This framework challenges Western societal narratives by reclaiming cyclicality, interconnection, and deep wisdom transmission as essential aspects of consciousness.

By weaving together mythology, anthropology, and contemporary psychedelic research, this talk highlights the role of femtheogenic wisdom in spiritual evolution.
